Dan Springer, President and CEO of Heartland Credit Union is pleased to announce that Angie Mielke, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, has been promoted to Chief Strategy Officer and has joined the HCU executive team.
In her new role as Chief Strategy Officer, Mielke will work with the executive team to create and drive strategy; spearhead quality and process improvement initiatives; lead the project management and vendor management functions; and assume responsibility for oversight of the new Payment Solutions Department.
"I am excited to have Angie in this new role to help HCU grow," said Springer. "By joining the HCU executive team, Angie will help HCU change more effectively and efficiently, improve the quality levels across the organization and ultimately lead HCU to be a higher performing financial institution."
Mielke started her career at HCU in February 2000 as a Teller at the 23rd and Severance branch. She was quickly promoted to Debit Card Coordinator. In January 2002, she joined the IT Department, working in roles such as Computer Support Assistant, Data Processing Specialist, DP and IT Operations Manager, and AVP of Technology, where she became knowledgeable about a variety of important HCU technology pieces, most notably Symitar. Most recently, she served as the VP of Strategic Initiatives since February 2019.
